Reading Comprehention/Vocabulary

We will help you improve and strengthen your Language Arts skills. Taken from the now closed Reading Center of Manhattan Beach, we have a library of miracle-working books and lessons as practice- including the Gold Standard in Reading Comprehension. We will teach you:

  • Know the structure of paragraphs.
  • Develop a broad background.
  • Identify reasoning types.
  • Build a good vocabulary.

One-on-one review which you cannot find in a classroom; of reading passages, answering questions and analyzing literature are necessary exercises for enhancing overall reading and writing ability.

Vocabulary can be twice too many, which is why we stress the approach of learning how to use context clues to deduct the meaning of a word. In addition, the tutors at the Hut have a great way of putting obscure vocabulary into words that you can understand.
